Twenty eight teams have confirmed their participation for the upcoming 25th Classic Cup 2019 under the aegis of Classic Club Kohima from November 4 at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground.
The inaugural function will take place at 1:30 PM on November 4 with Akumla Chuba, Director, Youth Resources & Sports as the special guest.
The participating teams include; Rustic Boys FC Thizama, New Reserve Youth Organization, Head Hunters, Naga Jaguars FC, Phekerkriezou FC, Zodic FC Phesama, Kohima Eagles FC, Saptiqa FC Zunheboto, FC Chizami United, Challenger FC Meriema, Hamei FC Tuensang, Tiema-Khe Kidima, Seiyhazou Hill Boys FC, Puliebadze Jotsoma, Kohima Bible College, United Brothers FC, New Market XI, Invictus FC, XII Tribes United FC, Fusion FC, FC Pochury, Shining Star Club Lazami, United XI, United Falcon Club Medziphema, Sechu-Zubza FC, Golden Lion FC, United Sporting Club and Nyenshen FC Tuensang.
Rustic Boys FC Thizama will face New Reserve Youth Organization in the opening match on November 4.
The prize for champion has been enhanced to Rs. 3 lakh from Rs. 1.50 lakh in the name of the silver jubilee celebration.
The runner- up will get Rs. 2 lakh while losing semi finalists will receive Rs. 50,000 each.
The most participating team of Classic Cup tournament will be awarded with Rs. 25,000.
There will also be special prize for best discipline team, most lovable player, best referee and best picture of the tournament.
The player of the tournament will be awarded with a bike while best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best forward and highest scorer will get a bicycle each.
The tournament will go on till November 23.
