Stage set for 30th CWA wrestling championship 2026 at Pfutsero.

The 30th Senior and 4th Under-15 Wrestling Championship 2026 of the Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) will be held on February 7 at Pfutsero Sports Complex, Pfutsero in Phek district.

James PK Sangma, National Working President of National People’s Party (NPP), who is also Vice President, Council of State Industrial Development & Investment Corporations of India; Chairman, Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and President, Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) will attend the event as the special guest.

The champion in senior category will pocket Rs 2.50 lakh while second position holder will be awarded Rs 1.70 lakh. Third position holder will get 1.30 lakh while fourth position will receive Rs 1 lakh.

Under-15 champion will pocket Rs 50,000 while second position holder will receive Rs 30,000. The third position holder will get Rs 15,000 while fourth position will receive Rs 10,000. Losing quarter finalists will receive Rs 5000 each.

The inaugural programme will start from 8:00 AM onwards.

CWA reigning champion Veniizo Dawhuo and Under-16 reigning champion Khriethoveyi Veswiih will be the torch bearers.

The programme will be chaired by Kiihiisheyi D. Vadeo, CWA representative to NWA while presidential address will be delivered by CWA president Vezohii Riiho.

CWA technical secretary Riidasa Ciirhah will administer oath to the wrestlers.

Declaration of CWA selected players for NWA Meet 2026 will be done by CWA general secretary Kukhoto Venyo.
