35th All Nagaland Lawn Tennis Championship concludes

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 11 (MExN): The 35th All Nagaland Lawn Tennis Championship, organized by the Nagaland Lawn Tennis Association (NLTA), concluded successfully on January 11 after three days of competition. The tournament, held from January 9 to 11, showcased remarkable talent across various age groups and categories.

In the Under-10 category, Tokupu Jimomi emerged as the champion, while Khriejano Peseyie finished as the runner-up. The Under-18 Boys category saw M. Udiit Praghan clinching the title, with Kethosevi Yhonzone as the runner-up.

The Women’s Singles event was won by Thejanino Khate, defeating Njumkaro Rangthang in the final. In the Men’s Singles category, Vilasier Khate claimed victory over Keneisezotuo Whourie.

In the Men’s Doubles competition, the duo of Thejaser Khate and Vilasier Khate emerged victorious, with Keneisezotuo Whourie and Megotsolie Khate finishing as runners-up.

The championship also celebrated the prowess of veteran players. In the Veteran Doubles (Above 40) category, Kekhrielelie Mepfuo and Seyiekhriezo Sekhose took home the title, defeating Kikrusetuo Sekhose and Kevikhrietuo Mepfuo in the final. The Veteran Doubles (Above 60) category saw Alpha Khamo and Shikiye Toyie triumph over David Kire and Sabulie Nakhro.
