Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): Community Avenue Network (CAN) Youth is organizing its 3rd Xchange North East Youth NGO Summit in Aizawl from October 3-5.
The event is being hosted by Full Life Access Trust (FLAT) and co-hosted by Dignity Foundation, an organization based from Mizoram.
CAN Youth Planning Coordinator Waisringdao Naiding in a press release stated that the summit will see participation from young leaders from all the North Eastern states who have started their own NGOs or social enterprises and are working for Social development of the region.
The North East Youth NGO Summit an initiative of CAN Youth was started in the year 2016 at Dimapur, Nagaland.
The North East Youth NGO Summit- Aizawl will be a one of a kind platform for young leaders and Social entrepreneurs from the region who have started NGOs and social enterprises to come together, share ideas, learn from icons and experts and mobilize resources, the release stated.
The participant youth leaders of the summit will present their ideas and work to an expert panel. The most promising leaders will also gain funding and mentoring from the experts. Sessions and panel discussions on issues such as sustainable development, entrepreneurship and employment in the North East, youth participation in politics will also be held during the summit.
The summit will see participation from young leaders who will get the opportunity to interact with and learn from other youth icons as well as experienced leaders and role models involved in Social development, politics, business and academia.
The release also mentioned that the organizers of the summit are looking to partner with the Government Departments, Social development organizations, companies, business leaders among others for sponsorship.
Interested persons are therefore requested to come forward and support the “Non-Profit event and promote youth leadership and Social entrepreneurship in the region.”
