58th Zhadima annual sports meet begins

Kohima, January 2 (MExN): The 58th Zhadima Annual Sports Meet 2020 under the aegis of Zhadima Village Youth & Sports Organization (ZVYSO) got underway today at Sports Complex, Zhadima village under Kohima district.

Neiketouzo Kengurüse, PS to Chief Minister, Government of Nagaland, graced the inaugural ceremony as the special guest.

The first day of the three day event, witnessed Naga wrestling sported by 35 wrestlers from 12 teams.

Visielie Sanchu, Vice President NASA 'C' graced the wrestling final ceremony as the wrestling patron.

Kevimezo Loucü clinched the first position in wrestling, winning a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.

Vilavor Loucü secured the second position winning Rs 10,000; Kevizalhou Khoubve and Lezovotuo  Miario secured the third and fourth positions winning Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.

Meanwhile, 12 teams from eight Khels will be competing in football and volleyball, in both men and women category during the next two days of the annual sports meet.

Zakienei Khoubve, joint director, Directorate of School, Education will be the  guest of honour on January 4.
