68th National School Games U-19 Girls Sepak Takraw ends

Manipur - Gold, Nagaland - Silver, Maharashtra - Bronze

Manipur today emerged the champion title of 68th National School Games (Under-19 Girls Sepak Takraw), which concluded here today at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

In the finals, Manipur overpowered host Nagaland 2-0 to clinched Gold.

Nagaland bagged Silver medal.

Earlier, Manipur entered finals after defeating Bihar 2-0 in the 1st semi finals while Nagaland defeated Maharashtra in the second semi finals 2-1. 

Maharashtra bagged Bronze after defeating Bihar 2-1.

Nagaland’s school education & SCERT advisor Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome graced the valedictory function and gave away medals to the winners.

The valedictory programme was chaired by Megolhu Dolie, Additional Director, Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland.

Altogether,  84 players representing 17 teams- Maharashtra, Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Vidhya Bharati, Manipur, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Rajasthan, Jharkhand,  Kerala, Delhi, Bihar, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh joined the meet. The meet was held under the aegis of School Games Federation of India (SGFI), managed by Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland and sponsored by globalsports.
