The two-day long 6th Inter- Ward Tournament Chiephobozou Town concluded at Chiephobozou Local Ground under the aegis of Chiephobozou Town Youth Organization (CTYO) on January 11. 

Gracing the closing ceremony as the guest of honour, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) chairperson Neikhozo Suokhrie maintained that sports unite people and bring peace. “Where there is unity there is development,” he said, adding that all round development is possible where there is peace and unity.

He said that Chiephobozou town, established in 1967 and located on National Highway has ample scope for expansion of the township. 

Advocate Vitso Rio, Govt nominee member to Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) was optimistic that a sporting event like Inter-Ward Tournament would go a long way in strengthening peace and unity amongst the denizens of Chiephobozou town. He expressed happiness over the introduction of Lt Neichütuo Rio Memorial Trophy in this tournament.

Keduo-o Zumu, President, Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO), who was the special guest on the day-1 of the tournament was also present at the closing ceremony as well.

The closing ceremony as chaired by organizing committee convenor Lhousalie Zumvü. Earlier, CTYO president Nouvilie Riilho delivered welcome address on day-1 while introduction of Lt
Neichütuo Rio Memorial Trophy was made by Khozolie Kiewhuo.

The programme was chaired by Vineizo Tsürho, co-convenor, organizing committee while Francis Sogotsu administered oath to nine participating wards. CTYO General Secretary, Kevimezo Kezieo proposed vote of thanks.
