After a gap of seven years, the Miss Wokha beauty pageant made a glamorous return on 3 November at the Public Ground, Wokha. Organised by Glamours Event Management in collaboration with the Lotha Eloe Hoho, the event drew an enthusiastic crowd, marking a celebratory evening of beauty, confidence, and empowerment.

This year’s pageant showcased a vibrant line-up of contestants who brought colour, confidence, and charm to the stage. By the end of the evening, Contestant No. 2, Grace Kikon, was crowned Miss Wokha 2025, while Yisanbeni Tsanglao (Contestant No. 10) and Nzanbeni Humtsoe (Contestant No. 7) were declared the first and second runners-up respectively, earning well-deserved applause from the audience.

The event was graced by Er Ch R John Zeliang, Head of Plant at Doyang Hydro Power Station (NEEPCO), who attended as the special guest. In his address, he described the pageant as a “journey of self-discovery,” acknowledging that each contestant carried her own story of dreams, challenges, and individuality. He reminded the participants that every woman has the right to embrace both her inner and outer beauty, encouraging them to cultivate confidence, purpose, and self-worth.

Speaking on the theme “Beauty with Purpose,” Er. Zeliang urged the gathering to stand for cleanliness, conservation, and positive transformation within the community. “Do not be a person without opinion or purpose,” he stated, adding, “Stand firm on good values and be a voice for positive change.” He further encouraged the winners to serve as ambassadors of inspiration and progress in Wokha.

The evening also witnessed the presentation of several sub-title awards, recognising the unique qualities of each participant. Grace Kikon (Contestant No. 2) received the Miss People’s Choice Award, while Glory Kithan (Contestant No. 1) was named Miss Congeniality. Contestant No. 11, Ethungbeni Patton, won both Miss Perfect 10 and Best Evening Wear, and Contestant No. 3, Nzanti T. Odyuo, received the Miss Perfect Smile title. The Beautiful Hair title went to Contestant No. 7, Nzanbeni Humtsoe, while Rhonbeni Kikon was named Miss Glamorous. Contestant No. 10, Yisanbeni Tsanglao, bagged two additional titles — Miss Talent and Miss Icon Influence — and the Eyes of Elegance title went to Lochumi K. Lotha.

The night concluded with applause and celebration, marking a successful revival of the long-awaited Miss Wokha pageant. The event reaffirmed its role as a platform that not only celebrates beauty but also empowers young women to lead with confidence, purpose, and pride.
