Wokha, November 8 (MExN): The Aggrieved Foothills Road Forum (AFHRF) under Bhandari and Changpang areas in Wokha district has appealed to the Nagaland government to immediately initiate the construction of the second phase of the Foothills Road, citing its exclusion from the ongoing first phase due to resource constraints.
In a statement, the forum has demanded that the two-lane Phase-II, connecting Bhandari and Changpang areas in Wokha district's Baghty division to Mangkolemba division in Mokokchung district, be taken up immediately upon the scheduled completion of the first phase in December 2025.
“We urge upon the concerned department of Road & Bridges, Government of Nagaland to take this issue seriously,” the forum said.
The appeal was appended by AFHRF Convenor Chumjamo Kikon and General Secretary Enoch Kithan.
