Kohima, January 13 (MExN): The Department of Agriculture today organised a farewell programme in honour of Benjamin Lotha, Additional Director (Retired) at the Directorate Conference Hall, Kohima.
The programme was chaired by Sanuzo Nienu, Director of Agriculture, who welcomed the gathering and acknowledged the valuable services rendered by Benjamin Lotha during his long and dedicated career in the Department.
A service profile of the retired officer was presented by Medovilie Ladu, Additional Director, highlighting Lotha’s professional journey, key contributions, and commitment to agricultural development in the state.
On behalf of the ministerial staff, Temjemlemla Imchen, Registrar, expressed heartfelt appreciation and conveyed best wishes for a happy, contented, and healthy retired life.
A special song presented by the officers and staff added a warm and personal touch to the programme.
Colleagues also shared voluntary speeches, reflecting on their experiences and expressing gratitude for Lotha’s guidance and service.
In his farewell address, Benjamin thanked the Department for the support and cooperation throughout his years of service.
He also emphasised the importance of leading a Christian life in the workplace and encouraged officers and staff to keep the Lord at the centre of their careers.
Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture extended its best wishes to Benjamin Lotha for a healthy, peaceful, and fulfilling post-retirement life.
