Ao community in Bengaluru celebrates Moatsü

DIMAPUR, MAY 3 (MExN): The Ao Naga community in Bengaluru celebrated Moatsü Benjongmong 2026 at City Revival Center, Hennur Bande, on May 2.

The festival was organised by Ao Senso Telongjem Bangalore (ASTB) under the theme “Asen teradong benjong tepdi aser Nükmen Razükdi.”

A press release from the ASTB informed that the programme featured an address by Rev Dr Along Jamir, Director, BSI, who spoke on preserving cultural identity while embracing growth and shared responsibility.

Cultural presentations including traditional folk songs, dances, and indigenous performances were held. The celebration also included customary feasting and community participation.

The programme began with an invocation, followed by a welcome address and greetings from community leaders. It included cultural showcases and community engagement activities.

The organisers stated that the event reaffirmed the community’s commitment to preserving its cultural roots and fostering unity among younger generations living outside Nagaland.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction.
