Ao organisations honour Nagaland Chief Secretary

Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The Ao Senden, in coordination with the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), Ao Legislators, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Watsu Mungdang, Ao Lanur Telungjem (ALT), and Ao Officers Telungjem, organised a felicitation programme in honour of Nagaland Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen, at his official residence in Kohima on November 5.

Speaking at the programme, Imchen expressed gratitude to the Ao Senden for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to work for the welfare and progress of the people of Nagaland. 

He emphasised that unity is the foundation of development and urged the community to work collectively to address societal challenges.

Imchen also highlighted the importance of focusing on one’s goals and striving to achieve them, noting that such efforts strengthen the community. He encouraged everyone to remain thankful for their blessings and to seek wisdom in all endeavours.

Minister for Rural Development Metsubo Jamir, in his address, called on the gathering to “walk the talk” and stressed that real change comes through action and collective commitment. 

He urged the Ao community to uphold unity and integrity for the betterment of society and the State, the State DIPR reported. 

Other speakers included the President of AKM, President of ALT, and Legal Advisor of Ao Senden, CT Jamir. A special prayer was offered by Rev Temsu Jamir, Executive Secretary of ABAM, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Ao Senden President, Marsanen Imsong.
