Dimapur, December 16 (MexN):9 Assam Rifles conducted free medical camp at Longleng Town RC 2277 (Longleng Dist) on December 14, 2011 under aegis of Headquarter 7 Sector Assam Rifles. A team comprising Dr Angto Phom and staff nurse Lamle Phom from Dist Civil Hospital and Capt Maryjoy, RMO and Nursing Assistant of 9 AR conducted the camp.
The camp was visited by Lebenthung Lotha, DC Longleng Dist in the presence of other prominent Administrative members of Longleng Town. A total of 143 patients including Ladies and Children received free medical treatment and medicines.
The camp was a huge success and the villagers and civil administration whole heartedly praised the noble gesture of “The Assam Rifles” and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the medical camp. Assam Rifles, on their part promised the villagers of their continued support to the population & their effort to live up to their reputation as “Friends of the Hill people”.
