Army dedicates Training Centre in Mulukgaon 

Kohima, March 16 (MExN): Indian Army in its initiative to empower the locals has established a new Vocational Training Center (VTC) in Mulukgaon, Tinsukia, Assam on March 13, an official release informed. 


A number of VTC in remote locations have been established by the Indian Army in Upper Assam and within a short span of time these centres have received “overwhelming response due to the popularity of courses offered for training and good career prospects,” the release said.  


Accordingly, the new VTC in Mulukgaon offering in Tailoring and Gardening was launched based on the positive response and request from the populace, stated the release issued by Lt Col Sumit K Sharma, PRO (Defence) Kohima. 


These courses are being conducted in collaboration with Assam Skill Development Mission and National Skill Development Corporation under various schemes of PMKVY, it informed.
