•-As appeared in local dailies under the heading "Backward reservation quota increase to 37% ". It will amount to contempt of honourable Court stay order on job reservation policy, to increase the reservation quota for Chakhesang tribe (from 2.6 to 4% ) and decrease it for Pochury tribe (from 2.6 to 2 % ) before the Court pronounce it's judgement on the Public Interest Litigation (PIL ) regarding job reservation policy filed by the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO ). Does the new reservation policy mean to say that the Pochury tribe has become more advanced than the Chakhesang tribe? The various expert committees set up by the Government of Nagaland to study the reservation policy had clearly stated that barring few villages/area , the Chakhesang's are no longer backward-economically , socially , developmentally and educationally. What is the point of setting up expert committees, if the Government of Nagaland does not implement it's finding / recommendation? These villages /area which the expert committee says, need special attention will remain forever backward even if the new reservation policy is implemented because these villages /area of Chakhesang region will have to compete with people of advance area of the Chakhesang region for job reservation. At this moment, the Pochury people will not like to file a Public Interest Litigation in the Court because it will cause much hardship to the rest of the Nagas but if the Pochury people are push to the wall by the new reservation policy, then the Pochury Public Organization will be left with no option but will be compelled to file a Public Interest Litigation in the Court, which is the last thing the educated unemployed Naga youth need at the moment.
