Failing to address the demand, the SDSA stated that it would be compelled to take initiative and stage forms of public agitation/demonstration against the Police establishment in Senapati H/Q.  The two District Apex Student’s and Women’s Organization also strongly condemned the forceful and unreasonable arrest of Major Johnson(NSCN/GPRN) of Huthrong Brigade by 5Assam Rifles personals led by Major Akshay Yadava, post commander on December 5, 2011. The unarmed NSCN cadre was whisked away for no reasons known to the people from the middle of the Senapati town; the said Major was immediately taken to Imphal. “It is regrettable that, the Indian forces especially the Assam Rifles posted in Senapati continue to create unwanted tensions disturbing the prevailing peaceful environment” it stated. Such provocative behaviors of the 5AR have been repeatedly executed since past years, attempting to sabotage the sanity of the District.   The SDSA and SDWA demand the immediate release of the unreasonable arrest of Major Johnson.
