BSI Medziphema branch observes 36th foundation day

DIMAPUR, JULY 21 (MExN): The Bible Society of India (BSI) Medziphema branch observed its 36th foundation day on July 20 at Christian Revival Church, Loliba, Medziphema. Altogether 16 Churches from different denominations attended the programme. 

Pastor Anungba Ao, Treasurer of the branch chaired the programme. Benjamin Lotha, President expressed words of welcome and gave key note address of the foundation day. The Medziphema branch was formed on July 20 1987 at Medziphema Town ‘A’ Baptist Church. 

He expressed happiness to be in the ministry of the BSI in contributing towards distribution of ‘God’s Word to the people.’  He challenged Churches to actively engage in this ministry. Arho, Pastor, Sepruoliezie Baptist Church gave reminiscence of the first foundation day. He stated that the BSI brought many Bibles for display. It was a surprise for people to see that the BSI could produce many good Bibles, he said. 

Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary shared the ‘Word of God’ on the topic ‘God’s Word is a living Word.’ 
Pastor Megovoto, Medziphema Village Baptist Church offered opening prayer. Songs of praises were presented by the youth of Christian Revival Church, Loliba and Medziphema Town Baptist Church. Pastor Suraij, Nepali Baptist Church and Pastor Jangkhokin Hoakip, Kuki Baptist Church read the ‘words of God.’ 

Sieyievikho, Pastor, CRC Town prayed for the offering. Rev RV Viheshe Zhimomi, Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church pronounced the benediction. Benjamin Lotha and family hosted the 36th thanksgiving day feast.
