Kohima | November 17 : Cartridge World, the eco-friendly fastest growing Australian specialty printer cartridge recharging retail chain in the world, opened its first store in Nagaland at Kohima today. Located at D6 West Road Mall, Jail Colony, Kohima the one-stop shop for all printer-related needs will offer services that will include recharging of inkjet and laser printer cartridges - both backed with money back warranty, along with free customer education on printer and cartridge care.
The first of its kind store will also stock cartridges of all printer manufacturing brands like HP, Canon, Lexmark, Kyocera, Epson etc. Replacement toner cartridges, remanufactured toner cartridges, high quality speciality paper, printers and other office supplies. Commenting on the opening of Kohima store branch, Cartridge World, South Asia CEO Naveen Rakhecha said “We are very happy to bring this environment friendly services to this environment friendly state of Nagaland.”
He said the presence of Cartridge World in Nagaland will help printer cartridge users contribute to the environment, save money, encourage local entrepreneurship and generate local employment. He stated that Cartridge World is expanding at enormous pace across the globe. Recharging is a scientific process and involves micro manufacturing and engineering. Refilling in India takes place in the ‘drill and fill” way and most the times, the same ink/toners are used to refill any and every cartridge brand and made.
“This can not only severely damage the cartridge but also the printer. But at Cartridge World, we use cartridge specific printer manufactures- like ink, toner, parts and recharging processes to ensure that our customer gets printer manufactures like output both in print quality as well as number of prints. At the same time we respect the Printer Manufactures patents and ensure that we do not in anyway impinge them,” he said. He added that every batch of Ink & Toner used by Cartridge World goes through a thorough quality control, to ensure that we are adhering to standards set, by measuring these properties along with colourful gamut.
He also stated that globally, Cartridge World had helped promote reusing and recharging- the organized way, thereby substantially contributing in creating awareness about the importance of reusing before recycling and saving environment. The basic mantra for environment friendliness is reduce, reuse, recycle, in that order of priority. As a matter of fact, he said, many ‘new’ cartridges that you buy also do contain used or recycled parts.
The Cartridge World- Franchise store in Kohima is owned and operated by Vilar Solo, who is a social entrepreneur. “We are pleased to be associated with Cartridge World, the world’s No. 1 Cartridge recharging brand and offer its services to the people of Kohima.” Our team has received training in Mumbai and are all geared up for the challenging and exciting new venture, he said and believed that with support of the Cartridge World team, “We will make a difference to the customers by offering them world-class quality, service and products.”
“Cartridge World’s recharged cartridges alleviate the customer of all printer and printer cartridge related worries. Keeping the fears of the customers in mind, Cartridge World provides a 100% warranty to cover not only the quality of printing but also any damages that may occur in the most unlikely event of the printer being affected by their recharged cartridges,” he said. World over, Cartridge World has helped promote reusing and recharging- the organized way, thereby substantially contributing in creating awareness about the importance of reusing before recycling and saving the environment. Cartridge World India has been recognized as the “Innovative Franchise Model and Business Concept of the Year” at the Economic Times Retail Awards 2010 held recently.
Globally over 900 million empty cartridges are needlessly thrown into landfill every year and this is continuously increasing. A toner printer cartridge is said to take over 1000 years to decompose naturally. More than 3.4 litres of oil is needed to manufacture a toner cartridge. In one year, if the world’s discarded cartridges were stacked end- to-end, they would circle the earth more than three times.
Printer Cartridges in Nagaland are today replaced by expansive new Printer Manufactures cartridges or compatibles or poorly refilled cartridges. The refill industries is largely unorganized. This is a big difference in the quality between the Ist and subsequent 2 options. Hence, the value of money need of the consumers is not being effectively addressed. There is a distinct need for an original quality- affordable price products that is not being currently met in Nagaland. Cartridge World addresses this gap by offering to recharge a customers’ empty cartridge with quality comparable to a new printer manufactures cartridge, at about half the prices, resulting in a VFM offering.
