Longleng, October 27 (MExN): Chungai Phom was crowned Miss Phom 2025 at the grand finale of the beauty pageant here on October 24.
The 23-year-old, who was contestant No. 11, clinched the title, outshining a field of competitors at the event held at the Multipurpose Hall. A Chumei Yajem (24) was adjudged the first runner-up, while Lekup B. Phom (21) secured the second runner-up position, stated a DIPR report.
Organised by the Yingla Welfare Society, the pageant was held under the theme “Radiate Confidence, Redefine Beauty.”
The event's special guest, Hiatwa Iralu, Additional Superintendent of Police, Longleng, commended the contestants for their confidence and stage presence. He encouraged the young women to pursue their dreams fearlessly and represent the Phom community with pride.
The judging panel was led by Neitho Khamo, PR and Marketing Manager at the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN), as the Chief Judge. The panel also included C. Tsalimse Sangtam, EAC, HQ Longleng, and M. Chingong Phom.
The evening featured a special performance by artist Hentok Konyak.
