CK Nayudu Trophy: Nagaland trailing by 30 runs

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 28 (MExN): Nagaland was trailing by 266 runs at stumps on day 2 in the 4-day game against Chandigarh in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy (2019-20). Put in to bat at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, Chandigarh posted a 1st innings score of 296 (all-out) in 99.2 overs. 


Middle order bastmen, Amrit Lal Lubana (101 runs) and Bhagmender Lather (62 runs) steered the Chandigarh innings to take the team to a respectable total. Nagaland bowlers, Akavi, Shamwang and Hopongkyu took 4, 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. 


In reply, Nagaland was struggling at 30 for 4 in 17 overs at the end of day 2 with Nikhil Gautam (13 runs) and Shamwang scoreless at the crease.
