DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): Sikkim trailed by 59 runs on stumps of day 2 during their test match against Nagaland at the ongoing Men’s U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy.
The match is being played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Nagaland managed to score 280 runs before being bowled out in 110.4 overs. Wahid scored a century while Joshua and Vaibha contributed with 45 and 33 runs each.
In reply, Sikkim were trailing at 221 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 71 overs on day 2 of the match. For Sikkim, MD Shahbaz scored 52 runs and Harit scored 46 runs.
For Nagaland, Hopongkyu was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets.
Meanwhile, at the Men’s Under 19 Cooch Behar Trophy between Nagaland and Chandigarh, the latter were trailing by 136 runs on stumps of day 1.
Earlier, Nagaland won the toss and chose to bat first, managing to score 163 runs before being bowled out in 56.2 overs.
Vipul was Nagaland’s highest scorer in the first innings with 65 runs and Yugandhar scored 35 runs. For Chandigarh, Yuvarj with 5 wickets was the pick of the bowlers followed by Rajangad with 3 wickets.
In reply, Chandigarh were at 26/0 in 8 overs till play ended on the first day.
