Dimapur, January 12 (MExN): Meghalaya today defeated Nagaland by 9 wickets in their group match encounter of the ongoing at their Cooch Behar Trophy (2019-20) at Assam Valley Ground, Tezpur.
While the match was eventually poised at the first innings with Nagaland and Meghalaya scoring 171 and 198 respectively, a lacklustre performance in the second innings results in the former’s defeat.
Nagaland were bowled for mere 48 runs in their second innings with Aaron and Aryan scalping 6 and 4 wickets respectively. With a target of just 21 runs to win the match, Meghalaya did not waste any time and reached the target in 3.1 overs, losing 1 wicket in the process.
