CPO General Session held at Chizami Village

Chizami (Phek)| November 19 : Addressing the gathering of Chakhesangs during the 31st general session of Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) today here at Chizami village as guest speaker, Husazu Epao Principal, Patkai Christian College stressed on the theme, “Year of Vision”.
Calling upon the Chakhesangs to engage themselves in true struggle, he said’ struggle is not the hardest nor the riskiest struggle’ he maintained and added “struggle is for progress with greater speed and only one gear adjustment is required in this regard-the mindset of the people. Instead of expecting government to do everything for us which is a sickly mindset it should convert to “Let us” attitude”, he added.
Stressing on the importance of preserving and protecting the forest and bio-diversity conservation, he urged the Chakhesangs to preserve and protect the Zanibu and Kupamedzu mountain forests and disclosed that these two ranges are the mother survival of the communities.
Urging the parents to develop the competitive spirits in their children and feeling of equality, he said, “there is a need to take the courage to fight the backwardness phenomenon, and in the meantime the very mindset makes the community a virtual beggar in the long run”. To throw away the backwardness mindset, Epao said, nothing is impossible quoting the word of Napoleon- ‘impossibility is found only in the dictionary of fools’ Epao call upon the Chakhesangs to be ready to face of any kind of eventuality so as to move forward, he said, let us opt ‘no risk no gain’.
Minister for Health & Family Welfare, K.Azo Nienu in his exhortation, firmly urged the Chakhesangs not to break the unity of the tribe in respect of differs in party principle, denominations, dialects etc. He said one should look at positive angles for the larger interest of the community.
Expressing his concerned to keep the CPO platform free from dirt, he make a special appeals to the CPO officials not to entertained political matter in the platform any more but give a special focus for the larger interest of the community.
Expressing his happiness over the judicious utilization of MGNREGA scheme by the Chizami Village, he wished all villages present on the day would opt the implementation process of Chizami as an opener in the near future.
Azo also said, the talk of corruption is indeed eating up the future of the Nagas but he said real corruptions comes from grassroot level and added that no public money was misused by Chakhesangs legislators as of now, although there may be some sort of political survivor.
Stressing on the backwardness issue, the health Minister said, the Chakhesangs grouped under backward category is by compulsion stating the late arrival of Christianity, lack of road communication problems were the main reasons behind the scene. He however said, but now it is the choice of our destiny..
MLA & Advisor, Deo Nukhu in his short greetings, urged the entire Chakhesangs to humble themselves so as to regain the good reputation and the unity that forefathers bestowed its abundant blessing upon the community.
