The BJP win in the Delhi Assembly polls would enhance the party’s prospects in Nagaland, according to the party’s Dimapur unit. The party’s Dimapur district unit, including mandal leaders, addressed a press conference in Dimapur on February 10.
“It is a huge and monumental win for the BJP. We have stormed back to power in Delhi after 27 years. I am optimistic the win will bode for the BJP in the state,” said V Shekishe Achumi, Dimapur District unit president. As the country’s citadel of power, the win would only serve to further enhance morale of the party workers, he added.
While stating that all the ‘Karyakartas,’ led by the top leaders have worked hard to capture Delhi, he expressed confidence that it would aid in increasing the party footprint in the state, and perhaps getting the majority mandate without an alliance in the future.
