Discover Nagaland Bicycle expedition reaches Kohima

Kohima | November 11 : After a month long bicycle expedition to remote districts of the state under the banner “Discover Nagaland on Bicycle” with the theme " Shield the Identity” organized by Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC), the duo Sievituo Solo and Ruokuo Kire today reached back home.
The NAC accorded a warm welcome to the duo at the flag-in- ceremony at the Ozone Café this evening.
Speaking at the ceremony as the chief guest, Elizabeth Ngully, Chief Executive Officer, Kohima Municipal Council said the expedition through bicycle is the first of its kind in the state and lauded the duo and the Nagaland Adventure Club.
She said such mission can pave the way to youngsters to spread the message of brotherhood, love and peace.
Mentionably, commissioner & secretary of health and family welfare Menukhol John flagged off the expedition on October 11 last.
Earlier, Peter Rutsa shared on behalf of the support team while both Sievituo Solo and Ruokuo Kire also shared their experiences.
The duo while sharing their experiences asserted that “Nagaland is the land of wonders.” They also talked about the love, affection and hospitality received during their journey from various people.
Bharat Prasad chaired the function while vote of thanks was proposed by NAC general secretary Burakum Ao.
