Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): The District Youth Resources and Sports Office (DYRSO), Dimapur organised the District Level Youth Festival 2026 at the MDSC Indoor Hall, Dimapur, on September 16.
The festival provided a platform for young people to showcase their talents through competitions in folk song, folk dance and declamation. Eight participants/groups took part in the festival.
Welcoming the participants, DYRSO Wutsutho said the festival was an opportunity for young people to build confidence, foster unity and develop sportsmanship. He also informed that district-level winners would proceed for state-level selection, where eight teams from the 17 districts would be selected.
In folk dance, KSUDC secured first position and SSUDC second. In folk song, Aotsür stood first, followed by Kentener Cultural Club. In declamation, Hetisa T Sangtam secured first position and Achunjanger Aier second.
The programme concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks by Wutsutho, informd the State DIPR.
