Yes, it will boost tourism and economy:
• Yes it should be converted into world's first natural valley resort.
• It will greatly impact our economy in long run.
• This proposal is good for the State revenue but after the completion of the project, the State Government should be control 100%, not by the any individual or any organisation.
No, it may harm the valley's ecology:
• 245 crore will in their pocket. Please finish High Court, Dimapur Stadium etc
• A fragile ecosystem like Dzükou needs to be preserved in pristine beauty without human interference and greed for money. I strongly disagree with the government's proposal.
• As a young kid, I was told that Nagas have always protected and the natural state of Dzükou since many years ago and even refused shooting of films/movie due to the fear of exploiting by outsiders. But I don't understand what is wrong with our minister “wanna-be”.
• BIG NO. But nothing Nagas can do if the CM Neiphiu Rio and Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along are able to convince SAPO to accept the project. Infact already noticing comments on social media from some Southern Angamis supporting the project. Few even expressing their thanks in advance by tagging the Tourism Minister. Money changes everything, especially for Nagas.
• Building roads will take away local trekking guide jobs, food stalls and supply stores, restaurants and lodgings. And most importantly the thrill of the first sweeping views of the enchanting Dzükou valley will be gone even with the slightest modern development. Leave Dzükou alone!
• Dzükou Valley will not be ‘The Dzükou valley’ once the word “development” by government encroaches in. Need of the hour should be to very strictly and sternly guard, preserve it in its pristine God given natural form and beauty, free from all intrusive intentional man made scars, so that at least our future generations will inherit something that is pristine and in natural beauty and form that is Dzükou Valley.
• Finish Dimapur Stadium first
• First 250 crore sounds like a magic number. How much will really be spend on the ground? How much will evaporate or land in some cronies pockets? Look at the mess of Kisama. Second what we are seeing everywhere is that the massification of tourism can never get along the preservation of the environment. You bring more people to Dzükou and the valley will definitely suffer from it.
• Good roads first.
• However, just incase the project gets started, it won't see the light of day and instead, those involved will only get richer and for that I can surely give my guarantee!
• I would rather want better roads around Nagaland. Leave the natural environment as it is!
• If the natural scenic natural beauty of Dzükou valley is developed through manmade structures, then there will not be any flavour. Let us explore the Meghalaya tourist centers of attraction.
• In the name of development they will destroy the beautiful natural setting I am sure they will leave half-constructed structure like the Dimapur stadium!
• In the name of development, we cannot afford to compromise natural richness. Dzükou is a painted tapestry, gifted from God to Nagas, how can we destroy its originality? Should leave as it is. Instead, to suggest, identify tourist potential villages, distribute 250 Cr accordingly which could be utilised into rural and agro based tourism.
• It is a big no. It will destroy the whole eco tourism system.
• Just develop the roads and keep the natural beauty as it is please.
• Keep the natural beauty as it is without disturbing
• Leave it as it is.
• Leave that haven a heaven!
• Let Dzükou be Dzükou. It will lose its value with all the commercialisations. Let it be pristine and continue preserving its beauty without harming it. It’s a big NO!
• Let it be as the God Created.
• Let nature be, learn to preserve and work around it. The last thing Nagaland needs is destruction of natural habitat, more waste, and unfinished projects at the cost of what exactly?
• Let the mountains breathe, let the rivers run free, not every beauty needs a road or a wall. In protecting nature, we are protecting ourselves. Leave nature untouched, progress doesn't always mean building more.
• Natural beauty is the beauty best.
• No need to sanction
• No, Dzükou Valley must remain natural untouched and sacred as it stands today. Nagaland has countless unexplored corners with immense ecotourism potential. Why must every project be centered around the capital? Before proposing new mega-projects, let's ask: what happened to the Kohima Smart City Mission? What has the Nagaland govt done with those developmental funds so far? There's hardly any project in Nagaland completed properly without complaints about poor workmanship or misuse of funds. Forget about the far flung areas, look at the condition of roads in the capital city, that should speak for itself. Dear fellow Nagas, please do not support this plan, it is a proposal that may cost us our true heritage. Tourists can still visit Dzükou Valley for its natural beauty without luxury hotels or artificial developments. Let it remain wild, pure, and alive, not commercialized. First, finish what is already started, like the Dimapur Stadium and the so called world class railway station.
• No, let it stay natural.
• No. Nature knows best. There's no need for us to interfere.
• No. Please let natural beauty remain.
• No. This shows complete lack of vision and wisdom on the part of the Tourism Minister and the Government of Nagaland. The Bible says that without vision a people will perish. This is exactly what is happening to the Nagas. In what wisdom are our leaders even thinking of disturbing God’s beauty in Dzükou Valley. This is just sheer madness. How can such a thought even be entertained in a sound mind?
• No. Whoever wants to relish the beauty, let them experience the nature's treat, not sufficient luxury.
• Not with that kind of budget but something can be done along the way till where vehicles can reach, before the trekking starts.
• Only big bosses will benefit. Let nature be in pristine state. Don't disturb what God has created naturally.
• Please preserve the Virgin land from human selfish desire. Money is just a paper after all
• Please protect the fragile Himalayan ecosystem
• Please Roads first. It is so difficult when the road is so bad
• Safeguard the pristine Dzükou Valley now and for the future generations. Once commercialized, Dzükou will be exploited beyond recognition and will be deemed irreversible.
• Safeguard the pristine Dzükou Valley now and for the future generations. Once commercialized, Dzükou will be exploited beyond recognition and will be deemed irreversible. Building roads will take away local trekking guide jobs, food stalls and supply stores, restaurants and lodgings. And most importantly the thrill of the first sweeping views of the enchanting Dzükou valley will be gone even with the slightest modern development. Leave Dzükou alone!
• Some things should be left untouched. Why not make good roads instead
• There is no logic in developing nature's beauty like Dzükou Valley. No matter how good or flashy the proposal may be, it is going to prove disastrous as per the present plan. Instead, limited sustainable tourism should be enforced in Dzükou Valley by coordinating with the local communities and stakeholders before the existing landscape, flora and fauna is destroyed.
• There should be a plan to monitor the inflow of quality of tourists. Screening should be done for people with criminal backgrounds and trafficking. Otherwise, if Dzükou becomes a global tourist destination, all the negative aspects will follow suit and Nagaland will become notorious and infamous worldwide.
• This project will be a political suicide for them. Ready to protest against the project. Protect Dzükou
• This proposal is good for the State revenue but after the completion of the project, the State Government should be control 100%, not by the any individual or any organisation.
• This should not even be a question. It is a no.
• Tourism brings pollution and deforestation.
• Tourist attract the nature not manmade artificial, instead develop the potholes of our road where necessary.
• Tourists are attracted to the untouched, raw beauty of nature. When we overdevelop natural areas to resemble urban environments, we take away their unique charm. Visitors from developed cities seek authenticity and natural tranquillity, not replicas of what they already have at home.
• We cannot create Dzükou valley like God created. It should remain untouched God's design of Dzükou valley.
• We want good roads in all the districts
• While trying to boost tourism and generate revenue, it will bring more harm and the destruction it causes as a result will be immeasurable.
• Whose stupid idea was it? Dimapur stadium incomplete. High court incomplete. Medical college not completed fully. National Highway not completed. Many more incomplete. First complete one project properly.
• Why destroy the only thing we all cherish! This should be stopped not just by SAPO or APO but every tribal organisation should come together and say No! to this move
• Why only Dzükou? Do we do not have other better n beautiful places to develop?
• Why the rush to develop the already scenic natural beauty? It will pollute the beauty of Dzükou and it will be surrounded by artificial things. Its natural beauty will fade slowly. Instead of planning for it, we need better planning in better road connectivity and better health services.
• With that money, please make good road and proper drainage.
Not sure/depends on implementation:
