Dimapur, May 11 (MExN): Doyang Queens registered a commanding 53-run victory over Dhansiri Titans, while the Women’s Champions Trophy 2026 league match between Tizu Warriors and Milak Royals was abandoned due to a wet outfield on Sunday.
At Sovima Cricket Ground, Doyang Queens produced a disciplined all-round performance to continue their impressive run in the tournament.
Batting first, Doyang Queens posted a competitive total with crucial contributions from the middle order. Merensola played a key role in stabilising the innings and later delivered with the ball as well.
In reply, Dhansiri Titans struggled against the disciplined bowling attack of Doyang Queens and were bowled out for 51 runs. Merensola and Kevisenuo Krabvu starred with the ball for Doyang Queens, maintaining pressure throughout the innings with regular breakthroughs and tight spells.
In the other fixture at G N R Ground, the league match between Tizu Warriors and Milak Royals was abandoned due to a wet outfield, resulting in both teams sharing points.
With the win, Doyang Queens further strengthened their campaign in the ongoing Women’s Champions Trophy 2026.
The tournament will continue on Tuesday with Dikhu Strikers taking on Tizu Warriors at Sovima Cricket Ground, while Chathe Dazzlers will face Dhansiri Titans at G N R Ground.
