UKHRUL, November 12 : Phungyo Baptist Church (PBC) members were blessed through the living God’s words on Thursday with Dr. Jim W. Starr (USA), Director, Asia Vision 2020 at Ukhrul. Dr. Jim W. Starr has been a frequent visitor to Ukhrul preached and has been constantly feeding the “Spiritually thirsty souls” of the Christian Community.
While delivering his messages at the joint-Fellowship Service with PBC (NTNBA), Indo-Myanmar Baptist Mission (IMBM), the Covenant Baptist Bible College of Ukhrul, Dr. Starr shared his experience of 15-16 years in India He said that we don’t have idolaters in our Church but there are many Christian idolaters as Paul the Apostle said “covetousness is idolatry”. Anything that keeps distant between God and men is idolatry. He added. The Missionary also said that in America, televisions, cars, houses remained the “Americans idols”.
The Director, Asia Vision 2020 stated that only three things that will be left at the end of the world as everything on this earth will burn down except, God, God’s words and the souls of the human being and therefore he asked all Christians to invest the thing in life that will earn them eternal lives.
