Eastern Bible College 46th annual sports meet begins

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 27 (MExN): The 46th annual sports meet of Eastern Bible College began today at the college campus, under the theme “Your Talent for His Glory”. 

The opening ceremony was witness by Kvulo Lorin, Director of Tetso College, as special guest.  He urged the students that games and sports are an important factor in daily life. 

Yimsu Yanthan, Assistant Pastor of Lotha Baptist Church, Near Airport Diphupar, exhorted the students and spoke about how sports isvital for holistic development of an individual. 

The inaugural function was chaired by Lumtsuo Ezung, lecturer while the opening prayer was delivered by David Khobung, lecturer and the welcome address was delivered by Khyojano Yanthan, Academic Dean. A special number was presented by lectueres Neopi K and Jeviholi Swu. The oath taking was done by Oching, Games & Sports Secretary. The vote of thanks was given by lecturer Sebasthan Basumatary. The inaugural function was concluded by lecturer Chuba L. 

Football, badminton, volleyball, carom will be played during the meet and all the sports will have boys and girls categories. Four teams were divided namely: Yakhal which means Hope, Shalom which means peace, Emunah which means Faithful and Ahava which means Love. 

The annual sports meet will conclude on January 13.
