Kohima, November 21 (MExN): Senior officials from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) met with the Chief Secretary of Nagaland to discuss the implementation of central government social security schemes in the state.

SK Jha, the Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner for the North East Region, called on Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, at the latter's office in Kohima. 

Jha apprised the Chief Secretary of the benefits and significance of the Pradhan Mantri Vikshit Bharat Rozgar Yojana and the Employees’ Enrolment Scheme 2025 for both employees and employers, stated a press release. 

During the discussion, Jha requested the support of the state government machinery for the effective implementation of these schemes. The objective is to extend social security coverage to the working class in establishments such as MSMEs, SSI units, private hospitals, hotel industries, schools, and societies through the EPFO.

Jha was accompanied by Gaurav Srivastava, Regional PF Commissioner-I, Guwahati, and Samuel Das, Regional PF Commissioner-II, Dimapur.

Representing the Government of Nagaland, the meeting was attended by Sotsula, IAS, Labour Secretary; Avile Vitso, Additional Labour Commissioner; Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, Under Secretary, Finance Department; and Zaremo Kikon, Assistant Labour Commissioner.
