ERH observed "National Award & thanks giving day"

Six kilometers away from Ukhrul town Headquarter , at a place called Lanai (in local name) and also known as the Talui Junction, is  Eden Resource Home(ERH)  where more than 72 orphans dwell under the care of Vs. Tanmila and RM. Shanreingam. Eden Resource Home (ERH) had observed the "National Award & thanks giving day" today at the institute home in a simple but impressive function with the Chief Guest E.Luikham, ZEO UKhrul and H. Chiphang, Reserve Inspector to SP Ukhrul.
The ERH was established in 1990 with the founder VS.Nganingmi a Churh worker. He has recieved coveted Awards including the most distinguished Children Home by the Manipur State Maharaja Nara Singh on  April 11, 2009 which was recomended by the Social Welfare Department, Fit Institution Award was entitled to ERH by the Governor of Manipur December 2009 and recently India Gold Star Award 2010 by the Intellectual People and Economic Growth Association alongwith the Award of Excellence for National Social Activity by the Global Achievers Foundation in simulteneous Seminar at New Delhi on November 4, 2011 last awarded ERH a Gold Medal with trophies and Certificates.
Speaking on the Occasion the Chief Guest E. Luikham deeply encouraged the hard work and dedication extended by the ERH management . He assured to give free text-books and uniforms to students of ERH and seek possible means to include the Mid-day meal distribution to the Centre. The Guest of Honour H. Chiphang said that as the recipient of the two National Awards or the National Gold Medal  he encouraged the ERH to keep it up and keep going to reach the Internatrional level. He also called-upon the people to join hands in lifting the children in the Centre to become good citizens of the Country.
In an exclusive chat with this Ukhrul Correspondent after the function the ERH Managing Co-Ordinator Tanmila expressed her greatest thanks to God for giving her family the previlege and success of her Charity Mission followed by the supports from her family members, District Level Officers and Assam Riffles. On being asked to mention some of the remarkable  or unforgetable samaritans in the Mission, the Co-Ordinator without hasitation mentioned the young dynamic IAS Officer Amstrong Pamei who was then AC. Ukhrul and who spent his 26th Birthday alongwith the Children of the Home on  September 23, 2010. She thanked the yeomens' deeds extented by 10 Sector 17 AR DID for giving sets of computers, TVs and the school uniforms to all the Children, she exalted the generous presentation of a Tata Sumo vehicle by the IFAD Project Director Tychicus Vashum and the recent visit of the then SDO UKhrul Rajen Vishal,IAS along with the present Ukhrul SDO B. John, IAS on 22nd September 2011 last who presented cash gifts, sugar, rice and lighting facilities to the poor Children which are some of the many to mention, she said.
