Faculty members and students of Fazl Ali College during the workshop on writing research paper –organized by the Research and Development Cell (RDC) in Mokokchung.
Mokokchung, September 6 (MExN): The Research and Development Cell (RDC) of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, organised a workshop on “Writing a Research Paper – I” at the college conference hall on Saturday.
The workshop aimed to promote research and strengthen academic writing skills among faculty and students.
Delivering the keynote address, Bendangsenla, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator, highlighted the importance of teaching students research paper writing and encouraged faculty members to engage more actively in research and academic writing. Vice Principal L.S. Vinod Kumar also spoke on the need for increased research and publication among faculty members.
Five faculty members conducted sessions covering different aspects of research writing. E. Benrithung Patton, Associate Professor of Political Science, spoke on “Understanding Research and Scientific Research”; P. Tia Mollier, Associate Professor of Botany, addressed “Role of Empiricism in Academic Research”; Adangla Changkija, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology, spoke on “Literature Review: Concepts and Methods”; J. Limainla Ao, Assistant Professor of History, covered “Preparing an Effective Abstract and Selecting Keywords”; and Jnanendra Sarma, Assistant Professor of Geography, spoke on “Writing a Research Report/Paper.”
The sessions were followed by a question-and-answer session. The programme concluded with remarks by Temjennaro Jamir, Associate Professor of Education. Imwapangla Imsong, Assistant Professor of English, served as rapporteur.
