Kohima, February 14 (MExN): The Film Association of Nagaland (FAN) concluded a five-day Screenwriting Workshop on February 13 at the conference hall, IPR Citadel in Kohima. The objective of the workshop was to develop the art of storytelling and screenwriting skills among its members and aspiring filmmakers.
The workshop, held from February 9 to 13, was conducted by Munish Bhardwaj, a renowned screenwriter, producer, and founder of Element 79 Films. With extensive experience in the film industry and film education, Bhardwaj served as the resource person, guiding participants through the nuances of cinematic writing.
The intensive training covered a wide range of topics, including the fundamentals of screenwriting, the language of cinema, plot development, and story structure. Participants were also trained in visual thinking, character development, subplots, and the art of writing for series versus feature films. The sessions included reverse writing techniques using short films to better understand screenplay construction.
The workshop concluded with an interactive winding-up session and a Q&A round, where attendees had the opportunity to clarify their creative and technical doubts directly with the expert.
