Goods train derails in Assam, none injured 

NFR informs on cancellation, partial cancellation and diversion of trains 

DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): A goods train carrying coal derailed near Singra railway station in Assam’s Kamrup district on Wednesday. However, there was no report of any casualty or injury in the incident. The incident took place near Singra railway station in Kamakhya – Goalpara town section under Rangiya division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). At least 20 boogies of the goods train were reported to have derailed. 

In view of derailment of loaded goods train at Singra, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR, Sabyasachi De informed in a press statement that the following trains have been cancelled, partially cancelled and diverted.

Cancellation of trains: Train no 15602 (Guwahati – Dhubri) Express, Train no 05020 (Guwahati – Mendipathar) Special and Train no 07524 (Guwahati – New Bongaigaon) DEMU Special commencing journey on June 7 have been cancelled.
Train no 15601 (Dhubri – Guwahati) Express, Train no 05019 (Mendipathar – Guwahati) Special and Train no 07523 (New Bongaigaon – Guwahati) DEMU Special commencing journey on June 8 will remain cancelled.   

Partial cancellation of train: Train no 15418 (Silghat Town – Alipurduar Jn.) Rajya Rani Express commencing journey on June 7 has been short terminated at Guwahati and remain cancelled between Guwahati and Alipurduar Jn.

Diversion of train via Kamakhya – Rangiya – New Bongaigaon: Train no 02502 (Agartala – Kolkata) special commencing journey on June 7.  Diversion of trains via New Bongaigaon – Rangiya – Kamakhya- Train no 19615 (Udaipur City – Kamakhya) Express, Train no 07030 (Secunderabad – Agartala) Special and Train no 07046 (Secunderabad – Dibrugarh) Special commencing journey on June 5. Train no 13248 (Rajendra Nagar – Kamakhya) Capital Express commencing journey on June 6. 

Further, Train no 07047 (Dibrugarh - Secunderabad) Special scheduled to leave Dibrugarh on June 8 will remain cancelled between Dibrugarh & Secunderabad due to non availability of rake owing to the recent accident at Odisha.
