Gospel Sports Meet concludes
Football finalist players pose for lens before the match
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 10 (MExN): The Rongmei Baptist Men Fellowship conducted a Gospel Sports Meet under the theme ‘Live for Christ’ from October 4 to 8. The meet was hosted by the Rongmei Baptist Church Mhainamtsi.
During the 5-day long event, the opening ceremony was graced by Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalukie, Peren District as the Chief Guest and the closing ceremony was graced by K. Achung, SDO, Soil Conservation, Jalukie as the Guest of Honor.
Both the guests emphasized on the healthiness of one being both spiritual and physical body, both the guests called the men folks to remain a good and concern citizen. Achingmei was the Match Patron in the Football Semi Final and Achot, UDA, was introduced as the Chief Patron to the Football Final Match.
During these five days, series of spiritual related activities and items were been witnessed such as Solo Competition, Choral Competition, Debate Competition, Extempore Speech Competition, Bible Quiz and in depth Bible Study session was the main focus of the event, where Rev. H M Gonmei, Executive Secretary Emeritus, RBCA was the facilitator.
The Men’s Fellowship of Rongmei Baptist Church, Mhainamtsi and Men’s Fellowship of Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie emerged as the champions and the runners-up in the football competition respectively.
Meanwhile, the Men’s Fellowship of Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie and Men’s Fellowship of Rongmei Baptist Church, Mhainamtsi were declared champions and runners-up in the volley ball competition.
There were total 12 football teams in football and 13 teams in volley ball from different Rongmei Baptist Churches and Fellowships of Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland. The Rongmei Baptist Mission Evangelist team of Mising Tribe from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh with 15 members also participated. Altogether 300 participants were engaged and blessed at the meet.
During the Meet, a fund raising initiative was brought in the way of Lucky Draw by the Organizing Committee, where the given Coupon number who emerged as winner are listed herewith:
