Kohima, September 12 (MExN): Government Polytechnic Kohima on Saturday hosted a career counselling and awareness session, ‘Pragati 2026’, at its Auditorium Hall to introduce students to SATHEE, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education in collaboration with IIT Kanpur.
The two-hour session focused on five key pillars, awareness, development, aspiration, technology and innovation and aimed to empower local and rural students by raising awareness about future professional challenges, emerging technologies, personal development and competitive exam preparation resources available through the SATHEE (Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams) portal.
The event featured expert guidance from senior officials and academic leaders, including Keyiekhru Rhutso, Principal of Government Polytechnic Kohima; Petesetuo, Senior Academic Lecturer; and Ketoulhoukho Kenguruisie S, Training and Placement Officer (TPO).
Students interacted directly with the expert panel to gain insights into diverse career pathways and academic opportunities.
As part of the programme, the guests also reviewed a science exhibition featuring innovative models created by the students and praised their creativity and practical applications.
