DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 16 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, has announced that the Department of Land Record and Survey, Dimapur, will begin ground truthing exercises in select urban wards as part of the NAKSHA Pilot Programme for Dimapur district. In a circular issued on November 15, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the exercise follows a directive from the Land Revenue Department, Government of Nagaland, conveyed through letter No. LR/8-21/DILRMP/NAKSHA-Pt-1/884 dated November 11, 2025. According to the notice, the ground truthing will be carried out in Ward Nos. 17, 18 and 19 starting November 17. The circular informed that this work forms part of the implementation of the NAKSHA Pilot Programme for urban areas of Dimapur district. It requested residents and stakeholders in the concerned wards to extend cooperation to the survey team “for smooth execution of the afore-mentioned programme.”
