Kohima, November 5 (MExN): The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has informed beneficiaries of the Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students that the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs but processing has been delayed due to ongoing JCC stir.
In a statement, the DHE informed that scholarship for the academic year 2024–25 was sanctioned on October 28 and the Department recognising the importance of timely disbursement and is working diligently to expedite the process.
However, it claimed that pen-down strike by the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) over IAS induction issue has caused delays in processing the scholarships.
The Department assured students that the disbursement will begin as soon as the Drawal Authority is received and requested their understanding and patience while efforts continue to complete the process at the earliest.
