ICAR Nagaland Centre vaccinates 193 pigs

Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): ICAR Nagaland Centre, Medziphema organized swine fever vaccination camp on September 12 at Kukidolong and Jharnapani villages. Altogether, 193 pigs belonging to 57 farmers were vaccinated against swine fever in the two villages.  

A release informed that team of ICAR Nagaland Centre and KVK Dimapur comprising of Dr. Mahak Singh, Dr. Ebibeni, Dr. Tallimoa, Dr. Limasenla and S. Pienyu visited the farmer’s field and created awareness on the deadly swine fever.

  The team informed the farmers to do regular de-worming and vaccination against prevalent diseases like swine fever and FMD, which cause huge economic losses to the farmers.

  The ICAR team also apprised the farmers about adoption of various technologies developed by ICAR Nagaland Centre like artificial insemination in pigs for breeding and keeping improved variety of chickens for poultry farming.
