Dimapur, June 17 (MExN): Considering the scope of collaborative participation in various research programmes to be mutually agreeable, Vice Chancellor, CAU Imphal, Prof Premjit Singh and Director, ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr Abhijit Mitra signed an MOU on June 16 for jointly undertaking various research programmes in the near future. ICAR-NRC on Mithun located at Jharnapani being a research institute with well equipped laboratories and having most scientific instruments for conducting research, this MoU will benefit mostly the students’ community and research scholars for the upcoming Veterinary College at Jalukie, Peren, Nagaland and CV Sc & AH, Aizawl, Mizoram. Expressing his happiness over the agreement, the V.C, CAU, Imphal commented that this MoU is a very quick development and will go a long way for teaching, research and extension activities. Intellectual Property, research publication and benefits arising out of commercialization of technologies generated out of co-operation under this agreement shall be jointly owned and shared by both the parties. Director, ICAR-NRC on Mithu, expressed his happiness with the development of the new Veterinary College in Nagaland and said that the excellent physical facilities and scientific manpower available with the NRCM will be shared with the upcoming Veterinary College at Jalukie for undergraduate teaching, research and extension activities. During the event of signing MoU was witnessed by the Scientists of ICAR-NRC on Mithun Dr N Haque, Dr Saroj Toppo, Dr Kobu Khate and Dr Thungchamo Ezung, Director Veterinary & A.H, Govt of Nagaland, Dr Kadivasen, Dean of CV Sc, Aizawl, Dr Pillai, Registrar, C.V.Sc Jalukie and Dr Zase Chusi, Deputy Director, Department of Vety & AH.
