IDAN and St Pauls College sign MoU to broaden quality education reach

The Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and St Pauls College, Bengaluru have signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the field of higher education and expand access to quality educational opportunities for students from Nagaland.

The MoU was signed by Father Dr Thomas MJ, Principal, St Pauls College, Bengaluru and Vineet Kumar, Additional Secretary, IDAN on September 7 at IDAN office, Kohima.

The partnership seeks to promote capacity building in education, research and innovation, with a particular focus on facilitating higher education opportunities for meritorious students from Nagaland through the St. Pauls College–IDAN Scholarship Programme.

Under the agreement, St Pauls College will offer scholarships through the ‘Future Achievers Scholarship Program’, with 50% tuition-fee scholarships across 160 seats in a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The programmes include Journalism, Psychology, English, Political Science, Film Making and Photography, Civil Service Coaching, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Aviation and Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Applications, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Psychology, among others.

The scholarship initiative is intended to provide deserving students from Nagaland with greater access to diverse academic and professional pathways at St. Pauls College, Bengaluru. Eligible students will be selected based on the prescribed admission and scholarship criteria, with IDAN facilitating outreach, promotion and evaluation of applications from students across the State.

The MoU also provides for students admitted under the scholarship programme to access the college’s campus accommodation facilities, subject to applicable charges.

The collaboration between IDAN and St Pauls College reflects a shared commitment to empowering the youth of Nagaland through education, capacity building and expanded access to opportunities, while strengthening institutional linkages between Nagaland and leading educational institutions in the country.
