Niketu's demise has rather spoken louder than his life, and is still going on. Expressions from innumerable individuals and organizations are reverberating a strong and loud message (he was not a loud man). What made it or him so? Probably by listening to the voice of conscience as his house of listening “Kerünyü Ki” says.
If we really admire the path of life he treaded, writing certificates of excellence for his life of 91 years and its contents, it's time for us to make detours from a life of self-admiration giving advice to what others should do.
We are all trying hard to live out a life to the best possible extent, which is like climbing a ladder leaning on the right wall. I believe we do have all the ways and means abound around us to make progress in that direction. May our endeavours produce more fruits from now onwards, so that we can anticipate a brighter era in the days to come.
His last words to me on the day before he was shifted to Delhi go like this - “Let us not lose our SOUL and our CONSCIENCE”. What a message! What a voice- humble and soft, yet penetratingly intriguing and poignant.
The news of his demise on 18th August 2026 sounded like a meteoric fall to our ears. I cried several times from 18-20th August more than I did for anyone else in my life. I became weak; my heart is weak. That's why the need for grace and strength from one hallowed Source alone.
Niketu was God’s gift of an era; a rare soul so timely and significant that it will continue to impact lives in all the years to come. His demise leaves behind a void which is difficult to be filled up by anyone of similar caliber and mindset. God help us when he is no more!
