Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): In a first, INTACH Nagaland Chapter held FILMIT India Workshop 2026 at Tulip Hall in Duncan Basti, Dimapur on August 29.
Students from Charis High Academy, Christian Hr Sec School, Ram Janaki Hr Sec School, The Maple Tree School, Bethesda Hr Sec School participated in the workshop conducted by a team from INTACH New Delhi, with technical experts from Tuning Fork Films, renowned award winning filmmakers, who conducted the sessions, stated a press release.
FILMIT is a multi-cultural project that aims at nurturing cultural understanding, care and concern amongst school children through the exciting experience of making and sharing films. Started in 2007, this year marks the 19th year of INTACH’s India project, with more than 7000 films uploaded on the website.
FILMIT engages students from classes 6-8 in developing short films of 1-2 minutes on their culture with mobile phones that can be shared through the internet with school children in other parts of the country and the world. The participants will go on to make short films upload it on the website which will be screened in the national interschool film festival in February 2027.
