KCK grateful for introduction of new Vivek Express train

Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): The office bearers of the Kerala Club Kohima (KCK) had called on His Excellency the Vice President of India during his visit to Nagaland in September 2010 and submitted a memorandum on the 23 years of pending request of the people of North Eastern States, and a positive response was received from his office.
The President of Kerala Club Kohima in a press note stated that the long-standing prayer of the Club along with other organizations has been fulfilled with introduction of the new Vivek Express train between Dibrugarh and Kanyakumari has become the longest passenger rail service in the country and launching of Kolkata-Dimapur-Kolkata Jet Konnect flight service.
The Club in the note also stated that it appreciate the efforts of His Excellency the Governor, Chief Minister of Nagaland, former Governors, former and present Union Railway Ministers, MPs from Nagaland, all MPs of 14th Lok Sabha from Kerala, particularly C.S. Sujatha, ex-MP and Members of the Estimate Committee of the Kerala Legislative Assembly.  
KCK extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the efforts of the Railway and Aviation Ministries for introduction of new rail and flight services. The Club also extend its gratitude to all those who worked behind for introducing the new train which fulfil the aspirations of the commuters of Nagaland, Manipur, Upper Assam and the people of Southern States.
