Kohima, June 10 (MExN): The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) has officially announced that trials for the district football team for the prestigious 24th Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 Inter-District Football Championship will be conducted on June 16.
The trials will take place at the Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium in Kohima, beginning at 9:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM. Zakietuolie Khrodi, Technical Director of KDFA, confirmed the schedule and encouraged all eligible players to participate.
Only registered KDFA players are eligible to attend the trials, which aim to scout and select top talent to represent Kohima district in the state’s most celebrated inter-district football tournament.
Armed forces personnel stationed in Kohima district will also be eligible for the trials. Registered KDFA players who miss the trials will not be issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to play for other district teams.
The Dr. T Ao Trophy, named in honour of the legendary Naga footballer Dr. Talimeren Ao, continues to serve as a crucial platform for emerging footballers across Nagaland.
