Kohima, March 15 (MExN): The Khelo India Centre NIAPA will organize a Under-14 (U-14) Table Tennis selection trial (both boys and girls) on March 21at the office of the Northeast India Academy of Performing Arts (NIAPA) located at 4 mile Agri Expo, Chümoukedima from 4:00 PM onwards.
The selection trial is being conducted to identify and select promising boys and girls players from Chümoukedima district for future training and district-level participation in table tennis competitions.
Young athletes within the U-14 age category are encouraged to attend the trial and showcase their skills.
The initiative aims to promote grassroots development of table tennis in the district by providing young players an opportunity to receive structured coaching and exposure through the academy’s training programmes.
While the parents and guardians are encouraged to bring interested children to the venue before the scheduled time for registration. For further details and participation, interested individuals may contact Coach Metevito Kintso at 9233722116.
It may be mentioned the KICs are being setup at the district level to strengthen grassroots-level sports infrastructure.
