Kohima, November 4 (MExN): DC Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has issued an order mandating all commercial vehicles in the district to possess valid permits for business operations. The directive comes after it was observed that numerous commercial vehicles were operating without valid permits, in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and other relevant laws. Consequently, all commercial vehicle owners and operators within the Kohima district have been directed to renew their permits immediately. Enforcement agencies have been requested to conduct verification drives and take strict action against vehicles found operating without the necessary documentation. The directive is effective immediately.
