Kohima, September 8 (MExN): Kohima Police has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying a dead body recovered from a dowstream area within Khuzama village on September 7.
According to police, Khuzama Police Station received telephonic information about the recovery, following which a police team proceeded to the location and recovered the body.
Police said all necessary legal formalities were observed, including an identification process among members of the public. However, the identity of the deceased could not be established despite efforts so far.
The body was subsequently shifted to the morgue for preservation and identification.
Police said the deceased is approximately 40–45 years old and 5 feet to 5 feet 2 inches in height. The person was found wearing two finger rings and a necklace chain.
