Late Imlitemjen Memorial TT Tourney held

The 16th edition of the Late Imtitemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament was held today at the Multipurpose Sports Hall, Imkongmeren Sports Complex organized by the Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association. 

The tournament was played in four categories—Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, U21 Men’s Singles and U21 Men’s Doubles.

Imsutongzuk from Mokokchung town defeated Mosemba Longkumer from Mopungchuket village in the Men’s Singles final. Imsutongzuk also teamed up with Ongshi Jamir to emerge as the Men’s Doubles champions after defeating Sentinok and Sensonungsang from Mopungchuket. 

Players from Mopungchuket swept the other two categories in the tournament as all the finalists in the U21 Men’s Singles and U21 Men’s Doubles were from the village. Limsor defeated Mosemba Longkumer in the U21 Men’s Singles while Nungshichuba and Mosemba Longkumer defeated Soyimmeren and Lijempong in the U21 Men’s Doubles. Earlier in the morning, the inaugural session of the tournament was graced by Temsuchuba, EAC, Mokokchung as special guest. 

The Late Imtitemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament is a Mokokchung district open table tennis tournament organized annually by the Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association.
